Live Bold, Not BALD!

SMPABOUT US

If your face is the picture than your hair is the frame. Working as an esthetician for more than 15 years, I have heard (and seen) it all. So many of my clients with thinning hair or inherited pattern baldness would tell me about the slew of products they had tried with no or sometimes limited success. We would laugh about it but I could sense the real concern underneath the levity – after all there is always a kernel of truth in every joke. I started looking into what was out there that I could confidently share with my clients and friends (for me, these two groups are not that mutually exclusive). I wanted to offer the people I cared about and who entrusted me with their care something that would yield significant results that would be worth the investment emotional and otherwise.

Enter "scalp micropigmentation." The more I researched this technique, the more it spoke to me. I am a geek when it comes to my work and like to stay at the forefront of the latest technologies available. This technique spoke to my inner technophile with over 12 years of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist. As much as I want to offer my clients the latest and best services available, working in the medical field for so long means that "safety" and "efficacy" are two words that are non-negotiable in my practice. So, I signed up to learn firsthand and find out if this was something worthwhile that could meet the high bar I set for myself and my services. After learning about the esthetic and technical aspects of this process, I am confident that this is a solution that could put an end to the search for a fuller looking hairline that so many of my clients struggle with. So, yes your face is the picture now let’s fix the frame. I welcome your questions. Come in for a consult and let's see what solutions we can find together.

SMP for 15 Years

Tanya received her Scalp Micropigmentation training by Costantino Barbone at the Scalp Micropigmentation Center (SMC) in Toronto, Ontario. She was an exemplary student, who excelled quickly in the art and science of Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) and Scalp Micropigmentation Hair Density treatments. Tanya completed all her lessons and modules, and received her Certificate of Completion and has become a Certified SMP Artist for the Scalp Micropigmentation Center (SMC). Tanya’s past and present experience in skin and skincare, now coupled with scalp micropigmentation, makes her skill sets in much demand and Tanya gets booked up very quickly. We highly recommend Tanya Rollin for all your Scalp Micropigmentation needs.

SMP

Scalp Micropigmentation has been around since the 90s, however, has only finally gained recognition in the last few years. Scalp Micropigmentation goes by many names, including: SMP, Medical Hairline Tattoo, Scalp Tattoo, Medical Hairline Restoration, and Scalp Tricopigmentation.

Regardless of the name, the treatment is the same. Scalp Micropigmentation consists of using a fine tattoo needle that is the same shape and size as a hair follicle to implant pigment into the scalp. The scalp contains approximately 1000 hair follicles per square inch, and thus, the SMP Artist must tattoo thousands of microdots into the scalp, which gives the appearance of a freshly shaved head of hair, or a Buzzcut. The results look very natural, and it is a much safer and better option that hair transplantation, hair plugs, toupee or wigs. Leaving no scarring and healing within days, not months or years.

SMP ForHair Density

With our SMP HD (Hair Density) technique, allows us to implant thousands of pigmented, simulated hair follicles to the upper dermis layer of the scalp to give the appearance of a thicker, fuller head of hair. Painless. No scarring. Long lasting. No powders. No fibers. For Men or Women. For thinning hair or bald spots. Guaranteed results.

Scalp Micropigmentation is the best alternative hair loss treatment to wigs and systems, powders and fibers and hair transplant surgery.

Scalp Micropigmentation or SMP, is a new and growing industry whereby the SMP Artist implants thousands of pigmented, simulated hair follicles into the scalp using classic tattoo methods. However, the size and shape of the tattoo needle differs, as well as the pigments used and placement of the pigment.
